Jon Beedell Obituary, Death – Jon Beedell, founder member and Co-Artistic Director of the Desperate Men has passed away unexpectedly. Jon Beedell death news was announced through a social media post; “As the members of the Desperate Men family deliver the news that Jon Beedell, a founding member of the band and the Co-Artistic Director of the band, passed away unexpectedly, everyone is in a state of full shock and terrible sorrow. He passed away quietly while he was sleeping perhaps late on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning. We are at a loss for words and completely taken aback by the outpouring of affection that has been shown for him.
He was irritable, irreverent, and irreplaceable, and he could make mincemeat out of the thin veneer that reality had. During this difficult time, we are keeping his family and all of his many, many friends in our thoughts and prayers. At a later get-together, we are going to do something special for him to honor him. Our hearts are broken for everyone in the Desperate Men family. Please accept our sincerest condolences. When he passed away, it was a cold night with snow falling. When it snowed for the final time in January 2021, Jon got up early so that he could spend some time at the Greenbank graveyard appreciating the powdery, new snow.
When my two young sons and I arrived at the park about eight in the morning with the sled, he happily accepted the invitation to go for a ride on it. And I assume they went into the plunge with their usual zeal, diving headfirst into it! Adieu, Jon. I am appreciative that you were able to make me chuckle. By not taking himself too seriously, he made the lives of a great many people more joyful.
