
Lloyd Ruckel Obituary, Death – On the 11th of December in 2022, Lloyd T. Ruckel passed away in Lexington, Kentucky. At the time of his passing, he had lived in Waynesburg, Kentucky for the most of his 87 years and had reached the age of 87. On the nineteenth of February in the year 1935, he was born, and the late Henry Ruckel and Ruby Spaw Ruckel were his parents. He was named after his grandfather, Henry Ruckel. He was his parents’ son. The only person he leaves behind is his wife Donna May Ruckel, who lives in Waynesburg and to whom he has been married for the past 65 years. She was the love of his life and he will be deeply missed. They tied the knot on September 14, 1957, and now they are celebrating their 65th year of being married.
Lloyd was able to complete his career in the United States Air Force and then proceed to retire from the armed forces. He was also the sole proprietor of a business in addition to his family farm. The Polly Ann Baptist Church was Lloyd’s usual place of worship, and it’s located right here in the neighborhood. Lloyd is survived by his wife, one son, Dewayne Ruckel (and his wife Joy), of Stanford, Kentucky; two daughters, Patricia Diana VanHook (and her husband Pete) of Waynesburg and Darlene R. Litteral (and her husband Mark) of Science Hill, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, including Kent Burton (and his wife Ashley), Andrea Roberts (and her husband Josh), Brice Burton (and his wife Beka), Matt Ruckel (and his wife Hannah), and Kayla Decker (and her husband Lloyd’s family included a grandson named Trace VanHook, an infant son named Darrell Ruckel, four brothers named Larry Ruckel, Linville Ruckel, Leonard Ruckel, and Lewis Ruckel, and one sister named Juanita Back. All of these people passed away before Lloyd. Both of his parents had already passed away before he was born. Both of Lloyd’s parents perished away when he was still a little child.
He never got to say goodbye to them. On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from six in the evening until nine in the evening, people from the neighborhood are invited to attend a visitation at the funeral home that is owned and operated by Barnett, Demrow, and Friend. The funeral home will be the location of a public service that will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at one o’clock in the afternoon. The date and time of the service have not yet been determined. The public will be able to participate in the service. It has been decided that Brothers Jamie Hamilton and Terry Holt will co-pastor the event and preside over the ceremony. In addition, they will serve as the event’s emcee.
On the memorial page that has been set up especially for Lloyd and can be found on the website of the funeral home, a livestream of the Funeral Service will be made available for viewers to watch at their convenience. Following the funeral service, which will be followed by the burial at Double Springs Cemetery, Bro. Jeff Finley will serve as the officiant for the burial at Double Springs Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Daniel Ralston, Daniel Rodriguez, Matt Ruckel, Matt Litteral, Kent Burton, and Brice Burton. It has been decided that Matt Litteral and Brice Burton will act as honorary pallbearers at the funeral. In lieu of sending flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Polly Ann Baptist Church in honor of the individual who has passed away.
