Daniel Thompson Obituary, Death – Shelley Reece Thompson, Daniel Thompson’s soulmate and Shelley Reece Thompson’s husband of 35 years, passed away this past Friday at the Spartanburg Medical Center. Shelley Reece Thompson was able to go home to live with the Lord. On October 5th, 1967, Danny was conceived in the city of Spartanburg, in the state of South Carolina. Both of his parents had passed away before he was born; Daniel Eugene Thompson, Sr. and Barbara Louise Guinn Thompson were his parents. He was named after his late father.
Danny Reece was not only a co-owner of Reece Electric but also held the title of Master Electrician in addition to his other responsibilities. As a husband, a father, and a grandfather, he gave his undivided attention to his family. He was overflowing with affection (Pop Pop). Everyone who knew Danny was aware of how much he loved them because he always had a warm smile on his face and always made them feel welcome. Danny’s love for his friends and family was evident in the way he treated them.
His sons are Daniel Eugene Thompson III and his wife Tara of Inman, Dylan Reece Thompson and his wife Kaitlyn of Myrtle Beach, and Reece Chandler Thompson and his wife Ashton of Spartanburg. His grandchildren are Reece Chandler Thompson IV and his wife Ashton of Spartanburg. Along with his cherished father and mother-in-law, Johnny and Margaret Reece of Boiling Springs, Tennessee, he is also survived by his grandchildren, Aariah Hope Thompson, Kennedy Rae Thompson, Grant Kenneth Thompson, and Gideon James Frick. In addition, he leaves behind his children, Aariah Hope Thompson, Grant Kenneth Thompson, and Gideon James Frick. Because of the affection and concern that they have shown toward Danny, he owes a great deal of gratitude in especially to Jennifer “JJ” Fowler, Fletcher, RayAnn, and Alanna.
