
David Twine Obituary, Death – David Leon Twine, who was 74 years old and lived in Wilmington, Ohio, passed away in the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio, on the morning of Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was the son of the late Percy and Elnora (Sprowle) Twine and was born on April 8, 1948 in the city of Port William, Ohio. He wed Betty Ann (Peters) Twine on January 9, 1969, in Reesville, Ohio. She passed away on June 18, 2007, after a battle with cancer. They had been married for 38 years at that point.
He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and in addition to being a truck and automobile technician, he had worked at Hood Packaging. He was a former member of the Wilmington Eagles Lodge #1224 and a member of the V.F.W. Post 6710 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was also a member of the Wilmington American Legion Post #49. David Nealis and Kimberley Weisenberger are among his grandchildren, while his brother George E. (Peggy) Twine of Wilmington is among his surviving family members. He is survived by his daughters Michelle (Joe) Hoover of Wilmington and Diana Nealis of Lexington, Kentucky.
David’s brother Dale Twine and his sister Janet Bean passed away before him, in addition to his parents and his wife. David was also predeceased by his wife. On Friday, January 6, 2023, from three in the afternoon until five in the evening, members of David’s family and friends will get together at the Adams Township Hall, which is located at 389 South Beechgrove Road. Full military honors will be provided by the Wilmington American Legion Honor Squad at the interment, which will take place at the family’s earliest convenience in the New Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William, Ohio. The responsibilities for making the arrangements have been given to the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home in Wilmington.
