
Grace Clark Obituary, Death – At the age of 74, Grace Ellen Clark passed away on December 9, 2022 in the comfort of her own home in Brinkley. She was one of eight children born to Leslie and Ora Mae Parrish, and she was the only one to be born in the city of Florence, Alabama. Grace’s life was filled with blessings, and she included her roles as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother among her greatest accomplishments. She tied the knot with Jessie Wayne Clark, and the couple was eventually blessed with three kids. Over the course of her lifetime, she was blessed with the additional satisfaction of witnessing the expansion of her family, which included the arrival of five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Grace had a job at Farris Fashions, which she did outside of the home in order to contribute financially to the family. She continued to be a valuable and dedicated employee even after the company she worked for went out of business. She was recognized as a people person who enjoyed talking to others and was adored by everybody who knew and loved her. Grace attended the Word of Truth Church that was located in Monroe, and she treasured the time she got to spend with the people she called her church family.
She was predeceased by her husband Jessie Wayne Clark, her parents Leslie and Ora Mae (Ezekial) Parrish, her brother Buddy Parrish, and her sisters Laura Holcomb, Lois Green, and Pearl Carr. Her children, Gary Clark of Brinkley, Jerry Clark (Melody) of Wordell, Missouri, and Terry Clark of Forrest City, as well as her siblings Lonnie Parrish (Joyce), Claire Spears, and Sue Julian, all of Clarendon, as well as five granddaughters and eight great grandchildren, are among her survivors.
The funeral services were held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the chapel of Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley, and burial took place at Upper cemetery in the Rich neighborhood.
