Jeanne VanTyle Obituary, Death – Dr. Jeanne VanTyle, who had been an emerita professor of pharmacy practice, passed away on Friday, taking a beloved place in the Butler community that she had been a part of for many years. Everyone who knew her and had the opportunity to collaborate with her will mourn her passing.
Jeanne had been a member of the faculty at COPHS for over 40 years when she decided to leave earlier than planned in 2017. Her education and subsequent professional experience were both in the field of biopharmaceutics, namely in the areas of pharmacokinetics and pharmaceutical kinetics.
In addition to this, Jeanne held the positions of Director of the Learning Resource Center for a period of time equivalent to three years and Interim Department Chair for Pharmacy Practice during this time period. Jeanne’s husband, Dr. Kent VanTyle ’67, and her children Rachel VanTyle and Emily VanTyle ’13 are the only people who will remember her after she has passed away. Nobody else will have been familiar with her.
