Jeremiah Drew Obituary, Death – When we found out that Jeremiah Drew, one of our students, had unexpectedly passed away, our hearts were completely broken. Now our spirits are broken, and there is nothing left for us to take with us. He placed a higher value on his personal relationship with the Lord than on any other aspect of his life, including his membership in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), his ability to play the guitar and drums, and his participation in other musical endeavors. He has a great deal of experience working in the field of music. Please remember to pray for the Drew family and the rest of our PCA family during this trying time. They will need your support more than before. I am grateful.
My children had a close relationship with their father, so the news that he was planning to leave us came as a significant blow to them when they learned of his impending departure. We shall never forget his great talent as a drummer (or the contagious joy that emanated from him while he was playing), nor will we ever forget how lovely he was with the children. Neither of these things will ever be forgotten. Both of these items will be firmly embedded in our minds forever. Both of these incidents will remain ingrained in our memories for the rest of our lives, but in very different ways. I will pray for his loved ones, including his family and friends, as well as everyone else who cares about him, including those who are worried about him.
We spent a lot of time together in the church that we both attended, and Jeremiah became a close friend of mine there. We also spent a lot of time together outside of church. During this trying time, I will be praying for him, his family, and everyone in the PCA family. I know that God will hear and answer those prayers. I have faith that the Lord will hear and respond to our prayers. I am confident that the Lord will pay attention to and answer all of our prayers.
