Jonathan Crego Obituary, Longtime Resident Of Oswego Has Passed Away

Jonathan Crego Obituary, Death – On December 10, 2022, Jonathan E. Crego, who was 37 years old and a resident of Oswego, passed suddenly at his home. He is the son of Sam Crego and Tina (France) Crego, both of Oswego, and he attended and graduated from Oswego High School. He was born in Oswego.
Between the years 2005 and 2015, Jon served in the United States Army. During that time, he was based out of Schofield Barracks in O’hauwo, Hawaii, as well as Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During that time period, Jon served three tours of duty in Iraq as well as one tour in Afghanistan. 2015 was the year when he was medically discharged from the army with honors.

Between the years 2015 and 2020, he was a member of the Army National Guard, where he eventually obtained an honorable discharge with a disability. In 2018, he received his certificate of completion from the Mohawk Valley Police Academy. In addition to being a member of the Evergreen Hills Golf Course, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5885, and the American Legion Post 268, Jon served as a firefighter with the Scriba Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to hunting and fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities were some of Jon’s favorite things to do. He enjoyed spending time with his family very much. Jon was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, which is located in Scriba.

Crego’s children Emma and Parker are among those who have made it through this ordeal alive. His brothers, Jeremy Crego, who is married to Britney Hoffman, lives in Clarence, New York; Justin Crego, who is married to Savaria, lives in Baker City, Oregon; and Joshua Crego, who is married to Samantha, lives in Fulton, New York. His “son” Jackson and the woman who would become the love of his life, Angelique (Angel) McDuffie. Isabella (Bella), Oliver, Stevie, Charlie, Colton, and Reagan were his nieces and nephews. Jeanette France, who was from Fulton and was his maternal grandmother. His companion, whom he called “Steve the dog.” Edward “Joe” France, Jon’s maternal grandpa, and numerous of his aunts, uncles, and cousins have passed away before him. Jon is the only survivor of his immediate family.
