Kurtis Thompson Obituary, Resident of Richland Center, has passed away

Kurtis Thompson Obituary, Death – Kurtis Melvin Thompson, 44, of Richland Center, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the Richland Hospital, after a courageous fight against lung cancer. He was born on March 17, 1978, in Richland Center, the son of Melvin and Alice (Premo) Thompson. After Kurtis graduated high school, he entered the workforce. He worked several places, saving up money for college. After completing his master’s degree, he transferred from Walmart in Richland Center to walmart.com in Arkansas. In 2018 Kurtis moved back to Richland Center to be closer to family. Kurtis worked for Walmart Incorporated for 20 plus years. Kurtis’s interests were faith, family, and friends.

Kurtis is survived by his parents Alice and Tom Iverson of Centerton, AR; siblings: Kevin (Julie) Thompson of Prairie du Chien, WI, Kent (Bonni) Thompson of Minneapolis, MN, Kerby (Shannon) Thompson of Roseburg, OR, Kendy (Herbie) Carter of Richland Center, WI, Karen Thompson (Scott) of rural Ithaca, WI, Karl (Tiffany) Thompson of Richland Center, WI, Kory (Bethany) Thompson of Viroqua, WI, and Kaleb (Sandra) Thompson of Centerton, AR; many nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Also surviving a special uncle Tim Iverson of Westby, WI; grandparents: Kathy and Don Iverson of Mountain Home, AR, and aunt Vicky of rural AR.

Kurt was preceded in death by his father Melvin Thompson, grandparents Lettie and Alfred Thompson, and grandparents Lorraine and George Premo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel, 120 N Park St., Richland Center, WI 53581, with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00 PM
