Larry Norris Obituary, Death – Larry Norris, who was 70 years old when he passed away, did so on December 10, 2022, in Maryville. He worked in the Information Technology Department at Denso, where he had been employed for the previous 32 years. He was thought of as a friend by a great number of people. He had a great deal of respect for his coworkers John, Robbie, and Jan. Our family would like to express our gratitude to those responsible for flying the flag at half-staff in his honor. Larry was a gentle and unassuming man who was known for treating others with respect and kindness at all times.
Even though he was reserved at times, that was always a part of what made him so endearing. He spent the first 13 years of his life in Knoxville, where he worked and went to school, before moving back to Maryville with his family. He was born and raised in Blount County. He asserted that he was an authentic native-born spirit. Over the course of 43 years, he and Melanie shared a number of interests in common, including going hiking and cycling, their faith, the Miata Club of East Tennessee, camping, and perusing antique shops. Amy (Chad) Richards of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee refers to him as “Dad.” He was a doting father who never lost his pride in his daughter’s achievements and was there for her from the very beginning of her life. Amy was the source of unending happiness in his life and the pride of his heart.
Alan Jones, who had been his best friend since childhood, was someone he looked up to in the role of a brother. Both Alan and Susan were very special to Larry. Over the course of many years, Larry has harbored a warm feeling for Kenny Byrd in his heart. Larry, Alan, and Kenny all shared fond recollections of times in the past when they had ridden motorcycles together. Larry expressed his desire several times that there to be no service. During his life, he was surrounded by people who showed him love and made him feel like he was someone special. Those who did know him were fortunate to have done so because he was a one-of-a-kind individual. Helen Fern, his mother; Edward, his father; and Ralph, his brother, all passed away before he was born. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has reached out to offer their support during this challenging time.
