One of the things that can be considered a traumatic event is the passing away of a student, and it is one of the things that can cause a substantial degree of emotional distress and anxiety in some students. If you sense that your child is having difficulty coping with the circumstance, we recommend that you have a conversation with them so that you can assist them in expressing and processing the feelings that they are experiencing. This can be done by having a conversation with them so that you can help them express and process the feelings that they are experiencing. In addition, in order to be informed of the particular needs of your child, we ask that you kindly take into consideration having a talk with them and monitoring the many forms of interaction they have (for example, social media, phone, email, and text messages).
The Crisis Response Team of the school district has implemented a support plan that makes it possible for students and staff members to have access to counselors and other mental health specialists in order to offer assistance to anyone who is struggling during this time period as a result of the effects of grief and loss. Please do not be afraid to call the school that your child attends if you would want to speak with a counselor or any other caring adult about how to deal with any fears or grief that either you or your child may be experiencing. This is a service that is provided free of charge. The school is available to provide assistance. We will provide you and your children with support in any way that we can, as we are here for you and your children in any way that we can.
