Sander Flaum Obituary, New York, Pharma marketing legend dies after a brief illness

Sander Flaum Obituary, Death – Sander Flaum, a legend Pharma marketing died on Sunday, December 11, 2022, following a brief illness. Flaum was a member of the advisory board and executive-in-residence at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. In addition to being the founder and principal of Flaum Navigators, Flaum is also a member of the advisory board. Most recently, Flaum was chosen to enter the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame in the year 2023. This honor was bestowed to Flaum only lately. In addition to that, Flaum wrote articles for the journal known as Med Ad News.

After serving his time in the military, Flaum went to work for Lederle Laboratories, which is now known as Pfizer, where he remained for the next 18 years, eventually becoming the marketing director of the firm and working his way up through the ranks. In 1988, he made the move to the agency side of the business and became the chairman and chief executive officer of Euro RSCG Becker. Prior to that, he had worked in the publishing industry (now Havas Health). During his sixteen years of service to the company, it produced six brands that brought in sales of more than two billion dollars cumulatively. During this time, he was responsible for the majority of these revenues.

In 2004, Flaum established a consulting firm known as Flaum Navigators, with the mission of persuading clients to adopt innovative practices in medical marketing and sales.  The pharmaceutical business constituted the principal concentration of Flaum Navigators’ efforts. Flaum received his undergraduate education at The Ohio State University, and his master’s degree in business administration is from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Both universities are in the United States.

In addition to the College of Arts and Sciences and the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University, the James Cancer Center at the Ohio State University Medical Center, and the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University, he serves on the boards of directors for each of these institutions.
