Shane O’Neill Obituary, Death – The passing of Shane O’Neill brought an immense sense of grief to everyone working at O’Dempsey’s GFC very immediately after the news of his death was made public. Shane was waiting inside the clubhouse for everyone to return after the game was over so that he could offer some drinks to the players as well as the fans of the opposing team. His son Eimhn, who is also the Young Player of the Year for our Club, acted as captain of our Minor team when it competed in the County Final at the beginning of this year. Our Minor team won the competition, and Eimhn was named Young Player of the Year.
