Art Devaux Obituary, Death – On December 11, 2022, Arthur Flavian deVaux, who was 55 years old and from Rochester, passed suddenly. Beloved husband of Kristine deVaux for the past 22 years, loving father of Arthur and Martin deVaux, brother of Michael deVaux (who is married to Brenda) and Anne deVaux (who is married to Kim Lee), and uncle of Madison, Michael Paul, Mary Elizabeth, Nathaniel, and Nicholas deVaux.
Art had a zest for life and enjoyed many things, including golf, wine, travel, movie quotes, golf, and everything related to the University of Michigan. Because of his unique viewpoint, brilliance, generosity, humility, compassion, and friendship, he was admired and revered by many.
His relationships were the primary drivers of happiness in his life, and he held a special place in his heart for the people he called his “village” in Ann Arbor. He considered them to be the family that he had created for himself. We will be holding a tailgate memorial open house at the Ann Arbor Distilling Company on Saturday, December 17 from noon to 5:00 p.m. in honor of Art’s deep love of spending time with friends and family. Art had a deep passion for Michigan football, and he also deeply loved spending time with friends and family. We would like it if guests may attend the service wearing anything Michigan-related if they so choose.
In the city of Ann Arbor, the distillery may be found at 220 Felch Street. However, there is extremely little parking at the location, and some of it will be set aside for people with mobility challenges or for family members. Please think about using the parking garage which is located one block south of the distillery at 220 North Ashley Street, at the intersection of North Ashley Street and Ann Street.
In addition, attendees are strongly urged to bring photographs or printed tales about Art to the memorial service, which will be collected into a remembrance book for his family. Guests also have the option of emailing ktzoumakas@tzoumakas.com in advance with this information.
