Bruce Carter Obituary, Death – At the age of 56 and residing in Clay Hill, Florida, Bruce Alan Carter died away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Community Hospice Hadlow Center for Caring located in Jacksonville. Although he began his life in Orange Park, where he was born on August 8, 1966 to parents named George C. Carter and Catherine Blackmon, he spent his entire life in Clay Hill. Bruce was a brother and uncle who loved having a good time, was extremely generous, and took pleasure in spending time with his family.

His parents passed away before he did in this life. His siblings, Clifton Hatcher (and his wife Nettie), George D. Carter (and his wife Lisa), Steve A. Carter, and Jerry Carter (and his wife Liz), all of Clay Hill; his sister, Joyce C. Hatcher (and her husband Charles), also of Clay Hill; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Spot, are among his surviving family members. Funeral services will be place at Highland First Baptist Church in Lawtey on Friday,

December 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Freddie Griffis will preside over the ceremony. After the service, the burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. There will be a visitation with the family at the church beginning an hour before the start of the services. The funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL & CREMATION, located at 380 N. Lowder Street in Macclenny, Florida 32063.
