Evan Kearney Obituary, CNU Student Evan Kearney Has Passed Away

Evan Kearney Obituary, Death – We are deeply saddened to share the news that one of our senior swimmers, Evan Kearney, has passed away. With a heavy feeling in our stomachs, we must now make this announcement. Evan first became a member of the team in the autumn of his freshman year, and ever since then, he has acted in the capacity of a “team brother” toward everyone else he has interacted with on the squad. Because he has served on the Executive Board as Secretary, President, and, most recently, Legacy Advisor, we owe him a great deal of credit for the success of the swim club. We consider him to be our Legacy Advisor. Evan was a friend to everyone on the team in addition to being a teammate, and he was known for his consistently positive demeanor.

Whether they were brand new members or seasoned veterans, he smiled and laughed with each and every one of them. At each and every competition that he went to, he would observe each of our swimmers while simultaneously keeping the team record sheet open on his phone and getting ready to enter a new entry. His comedic ability was unparalleled to that of anyone else we had ever known, and he never failed to find a way to make us laugh despite the gravity of the circumstances. At this time, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. We are truly sorry for your loss.

Please understand that you are not required to go through this period of mourning by yourself. We want you to know that. Please check in with your friends, and if you are having trouble, don’t be afraid to talk to other people or to look for assistance from a professional. The members of CNU Club Swim want you to know how much we care about you and how much we will miss having you around after you leave. It is our sincere hope that you are aware of how proud you have made us. Keep swimming for now.
