John spent his childhood in Perryville, Missouri, before moving to St. Louis to attend the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and earning his degree in 1978. He had lived in Chesterfield, Missouri, for a significant amount of time. John was a very involved father in his children’s lives. He coached his children in the many sports in which they participated, as well as served as a Scout Leader and an outstanding Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
John publicly acknowledged his commitment to the Catholic faith and attended services at the Ascension Church in Chesterfield, Missouri. Cooking, golfing, hunting, and woodworking were some of his favorite things to do in his spare time. Above all else, he treasured the time he got to spend with his loved ones. He was a kind and kind father, grandfather, brother, son, and uncle, as well as a neighbor and friend to a large number of people. We honor his life and the many things he has accomplished, and we will hold dear the memories he has given to his family, friends, and community.
