Kathy Spangler Obituary, Death – Kathy R. Spangler, age 36, passed away on December 11, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. She was a resident of Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was surrounded by her family when she passed away, and they all grieved together. Her parents, George Bockey and Karen (Siebeneck), brought her into the world on March 12, 1986, in the city of Lima, which is located in the state of Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education, and Bluffton College, where she received her Master of Science in Education. She received her diploma from Delphos St. Johns in the year 2004. Her wedding to Christopher Spangler took place on July 23, 2016, and he is still alive today.

At the time that this sentence was written, Kathy was employed by the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District as a teacher of students in the second grade. She was an active participant in the Oak Harbor congregation of the St. Paul United Church of Christ. The most important thing in Kathy’s life was her career as a teacher, but she also enjoyed spending time with her family, playing volleyball, exploring new places, and traveling Her mother, Karen Bockey, of Delphos; her sisters, Lianne Pohlman, and Laura (Brian) McDaniel, both of Delphos; her nieces and nephews, Cheyenne, Isabella, Pippa, and Harper Pohlman, Chloe and Austin McDaniel; and her father and mother-in-law, Rick and Wendy Spangler, both of Oak Harbor; all survive. Her husband Christopher and their dog Charlie, were both from Oak Harbor When she passed away, her father, George Bockey, had already passed away.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosser & Priestman Funeral Home and Cremation Service – Oak Harbor Chapel, located at 301 N. Locust Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. On Friday, December 16, 2022, the funeral services will get underway at 11 a.m. and take place at St. Paul United Church of Christ, which is located at 165 N. Toussaint Street in Oak Harbor. The funeral and burial will take place at the Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor.
