Keith Wilson Obituary, Resident of Yorkville, Illinois, has passed away

Keith Wilson Obituary, Death – After a valiant struggle against cancer, Keith A. Wilson, age 54, of Yorkville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Seasons Hospice in Naperville, Illinois. He was treated there. He was the son of Henry Wilson and Patricia (Raguse) Wilson, and he was born on August 14, 1968 in Sandwich, Illinois. On June 10, 2006, Keith and the woman formerly known as Rachael Jones exchanged vows and became husband and wife.

Keith attended Yorkville High School and earned his high school diploma in 1986. He then attended Western Illinois University and earned a degree in Law in Enforcement. Mr. Wilson retired as a Police Officer from the Oswego Police Department in Oswego, Illinois in July of 2017, after having served with honor as a Police Officer for more than 20 years with the department. Before going on to the traffic unit, Keith spent several years working in the patrol division of the police department. Later on, he worked as a school resource officer and thoroughly liked cultivating relationships with the students, faculty, and members of the community. After he had retired, he went on to work for V&O Services as the Director of Project Development after taking a position there.

While he was growing up in Plano, Illinois, Keith was a member of the First Baptist church. Recently, he has been going to the Harvest New Beginnings church in Oswego, Illinois. Keith will be remembered as someone who had a genuine passion for both music and athletics. His wife, son, father, brother, uncle, and cousin will miss him dearly, as will the rest of his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother.

Keith is survived by his wife, Rachael Wilson, of Yorkville, Illinois; his daughter, Aubrey Catherine Wilson, also of Yorkville, Illinois; his mother, Patricia Wilson, of Sandwich, Illinois; his sisters, Amy (Douglas) Collins of Sandwich, Illinois, Nancy Wilson-Hewlett of Yorkville, Illinois, and Patricia Dormer of Somonauk, Illinois; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. His grandfather, Henry Wilson, his father, Henry Wilson, and his uncles, Carl Raguse and Scott Raguse, all passed away before him.

On the Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM, a Funeral Service will be performed at Nelson Funeral Home, which is located at 1617 North Bridge Street in Yorkville, Illinois. Pastor Terry Jensen will preside over the ceremony. The subsequent ceremony will take place at the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, Illinois. On Friday, December 16, 2022, friends and family are welcome to stop by the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, Illinois between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
