Michael Williams Obituary, Death –  Michael Curtis Williams, who was a resident of Cartersville, Georgia, and had reached the age of 60 years, passed away at the Cartersville Medical Center. At the time, he was the owner of Sports Max in Cartersville, which at the time was still operating under its previous name, Sportsman Supply. After graduating from college with a degree in management from Georgia Tech, Michael spent the next twenty years working for BellSouth as a systems analyst. During this time, Michael amassed a total of twenty years of professional experience. His wife, his children, and his grandchildren all had a great deal of affection for him because he was such a devoted family man.

Golf and the Cartersville Hurricanes were Michael’s two favorite things in the entire wide world. His parents died before he did in this life, so he never got to meet them. His surviving family members include his wife of 32 years, Joan Mary Williams; his son, Clifford C. Williams; his daughter and son-in-law, Eden and Barry Hancock; his brother and sister-in-law, Leland and Wanda Williams; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Oleta and Ed Griffith, Ella and Herman Sides, Janice and Wayne Reagan, Nan Lavender, and Elvayn Cobb; and his grandson, Jackson Hancock. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007, at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Savior of All Lutheran Church in Cartersville. The event will be officiated by Pastor Mike Zwemke.
