Robert Fireman Obituary, Death – Robert Neil FIREMAN passed away on December 11th, 2022 at the age of 74. He was a resident of Boston. Beloved husband of Ellen (Porter) Fireman. Precious offspring of the late Harry and Louise (Grover) Fireman, who both passed away. Carol Fireman Markell’s devoted older brother. Brother-in-law to Lynne and Warren Salzman as well as Stephen Porter and Pamela Kellogg, who adore him. Uncle Jonathan Salzman is loved by his niece Andrea and her husband Alex Zinn, his nephew Zachary Porter and his girlfriend Kassia Randzio, his nephew Sam and his girlfriend Brianna Porter, and Adam and Rose Markell and their families. cherished by his circle of friends, other workers, and extended family members.
Ellen would like to express her gratitude to the kind and compassionate medical staff members at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for their care of Robert. She is indebted in particular to Robert’s cousins Paul and Phyllis Fireman, their daughter Stephanie Rogers and her husband Adam, as well as Robert’s close friend Wendy Siegel, who all worked relentlessly to push for Robert’s medical treatment. Robert will be remembered for his witty comments, upbeat demeanor, and unwavering commitment to assisting everyone he came in contact with. He attended Suffolk University in Boston to earn his law degree after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
He was a successful entrepreneur who launched and later sold a number of enterprises, including ones in the fields of medical billing, hydroponic farming, and loyalty marketing, among others. MariMed Inc. is a firm that Robert helped develop alongside his long-time business partner and close friend Jon Levine. Since 2017, Robert has served as CEO of MariMed Inc. and as a board member for the company. MariMed was able to acquire multiple permits to operate cutting-edge cannabis cultivation, production, and retail facilities around the country because to Robert’s direction of the company. He inspired the hundreds of workers at MariMed to fulfill the company’s purpose of making a positive difference in people’s lives through the company’s goods, behaviors, and core values each and every day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in Robert’s honor to the ILD Clinical and Translational Research Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital. This fund is intended to support the ongoing work of Dr. Robert Hallowell and the other researchers who collaborate with him.
