Gary Ziznewski Obituary, Death – Gary S. Ziznewski II, 39, died at home on December 12, 2022. Gary grew up in NJ with his two siblings. Metuchen High School in 2001. Quinnipiac University, CT. Gary worked in IT in Boston before returning to New Jersey to be with their family and their future wife Stacey. Stacey and Gary lived in Verona, New Jersey until their deaths in 2012. Gary grew up loving soccer and football. One of his favorite memories was watching the 1991 Giants win the Super Bowl with his father. He had loving grandparents, parents, siblings, and cousins. He remembered holiday dinners, trips to Aruba, and his family’s flower shop. Gary’s wry sense of humor got him into some ridiculous situations, but he always looked out for others.
The family dominated Gary’s adult life. In high school, he met Stacey, and their relationship grew in college. After 9 years together, they married in 2012. They’ve always joked about being old. As Gary’s grandparents did, they called each other “dear” and laughed together. Gary and Stacey had Dylan in 2018 and Charlotte in 2020. Gary’s dream was to be a father, and his two children made him happiest. Children adored him. Dylan has performed Paradise City and Sweet Child O’ Mine since he could talk. Charlie always rode her father’s shoulders on adventures. Gary often said his previous night’s dreams were about the kids and told his family he loved them every night. He told Dylan and Charlie, “I’ve been thinking about you all day.”
Gary’s grandparents died before his birth. Gary leaves behind his wife of 10 years, Stacey (Kahn) Ziznewski, and his two children, Dylan and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his parents, Cynthia and Gary Ziznewski of Metuchen, NJ, his sister, Sara Cahill and her husband Thomas, his brother, Dan Ziznewski and his wife Jackie of Atlanta, GA, and his mother-in-law, Sharon Kahn. Ten nieces and nephews survive Gary. Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Private funerals are Saturdays. 17 December 2022. Hillside Cemetery holds the burial.
