Jean Antonation Obituary, Death – Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and baba have all passed away, and our family would like to extend our most sincere sympathies to you as we share the news of their passing. Jean Antonation (née Tkachuk), who was 92 years old when she passed away on December 12, 2022, did so in a serene and unruffled manner. Jean Tkachuk was born in Vita, Manitoba, on October 9, 1930. Her parents, Evelyn and George Tkachuk, were her parents at the time of her birth. Her wedding to Ralph Antonation took place in 1950, and soon after, the pair settled down in Brandon to raise their family there.
Before retiring to devote her full time to caring for her husband of 56 years, Jean worked in a variety of professions prior to her retirement, including waitressing, working at Metev Woolen Mills, and, finally, working at Perths. Prior to her retirement, Jean retired to devote her full time to caring for her husband. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing TV Bingo, putting together whizword puzzles, watching game shows and cooking shows, and watching game programs in general. Jean will be remembered with love and fondness by her sons Garry (Brenda) and Jerry (Darlene), daughters Shirley (Steve) Jackson, Patsy Schepp, and Janie (Lawrence) Humeniuk, 20 granddaughters, and 21 great grandchildren, as well as her brother Peter (Niki) Tkachuk of Winnipeg.
Her parents, George and Evelyn Tkachuk, her brother Maurice, her sister Elsie, and her infant brother Matt all passed away before she did. All of her siblings also passed away before she did. In addition to her, her husband Ralph had also passed away before to her passing. Jean expressly requested that there be no memorial service held in her honor after her passing. At this time, we are unable to accept any floral arrangements. In honor of Jean, donations can be made to any charity organization of your choosing, and they will be gratefully accepted.
