Lindsay McGregor Obituary, Death – We were left with a heavy heart when we learned of Lindsay McGregor’s departure this morning and are spreading the news that she passed away with a heavy hand. Lindsay was presented with a Yachting New Zealand Service Award at the beginning of this year in recognition of the 16 years of dedication he has demonstrated toward Sailability Auckland and the New Zealand Hansa Class Association. This award was given in honor of Lindsay’s work with both of these organizations. In spite of the fact that his health has been worsening since 2006, he was able to make it to his final meeting with Sailability Auckland nine days ago.
He has held this position since 2006. In addition to his function as a founding member, the Hansa Class Association has relied on him to serve as the organization’s only treasurer ever since it was established in 2008. We are keeping his wife Sheryl, his son Cameron and their daughter Sarah, as well as the rest of his family, in our thoughts during this trying time. We are also thinking about the rest of his family. Since your outlook on life and your determination to make the most of it in spite of the fact that you have a degenerative condition are both deserving of praise and admiration, we want you to know that we are thinking of you and wishing you the best of success. These are some of the photographs that Lindsay captured while she was out on her sailboat on one of her many adventures.
Those who have inquired about the funeral arrangements and preparations have been completed in their entirety. On Tuesday, December 20, at 12 p.m., a celebration of Lindsay’s life will be place at the Purewa Cemetery and Crematorium, which is located at 100-102 St. John’s Road in Meadowbank.
