Msgr. Vap Obituary, Death – We are writing to convey to you our most heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Msgr. Ivan Vap and to assure you that we have the utmost faith in the Resurrection. He could look back on 94 years of life. Msgr. Vap, who was born in Hastings, spent his boyhood at St. Cecilia Parish, where the pastor and helpers played a vital role in shaping his decision to become a priest. Msgr. Vap’s decision to become a priest was influenced by the pastor and assistants at the parish. “Being in their classes and ministering at their liturgies pulled me toward the priesthood,” he added. “Being in their classes and ministering at their liturgies.” “Merely being there pushed me in the direction of the priesthood.” Msgr. Vap’s first assignment was at St. Michael Parish in Fairbury, which was also the name of his first parish.
After that, he worked as a teacher at Pius X High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. After that, he managed the construction of Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo, Nebraska. Finally, he returned to Pius X High School where he had previously worked. According to Msgr. Vap, there is “no bigger blessing and no more humbling a blessing than offering the Sacrifice of the Mass and coming into the lives of the people as a teacher, or a superintendent of schools, or a pastor, or the rector of the Cathedral.” This statement was made in reference to the fact that there is “no bigger blessing and no more humbling a blessing than offering the Sacrifice of the Mass.” “There is no greater blessing and no more humble blessing than offering the Sacrifice of the Mass and coming into the lives of the people as a teacher, or a pastor, or a priest,” St. Augustine said.
“There is no greater blessing than offering the Sacrifice of the Mass.” He was quoted as saying, “I was given a vocation to the priesthood, which was an incredible stroke of luck.” I have a deep-seated conviction that I am meant to assist people in this position. The key to our contentment and joy is to simply carry out the plans that the Almighty has laid out for our lives; this is what provides us fulfillment. The key to our contentment and joy is to follow out the plans that the Almighty has laid out for our lives. Please say some prayers for him and his family so that they may find some solace in this trying time. He needs your help. I pray that he is at peace for all eternity.
