Richard Dorney Obituary, Death – On November 18th, our father, Richard “Skid” Dorney, passed away in a manner that was both sudden and unanticipated. The news has left us with a sense of profound desolation. Because of his work in the field of mental health, both inside and outside of the military forces, Dad was a well-known figure and made a contribution to society. On the other hand, in this day and age, I am not the type of person to post on Facebook, particularly not in connection with matters of this nature. This follows his distinguished military service with the Grenadier Guards, which lasted for a total of 39 years and earned him numerous decorations.
As a result, bearing all of this in mind, I have decided that it is imperative to give you the following information. Even though the vast majority of people are aware that he has passed away, I believe that this may be the only way to let others who may not be aware of his passing but still wish to attend his burial at Salisbury Cathedral on January 13th. This is because I believe that this may be the only method to let others who may not be aware of his passing but still wish to attend his burial. We are aware that this will not take place for quite some time; however, due to the magnitude of the event, we thought it would be best to wait until after the holiday season to ensure that we have sufficient time to organize and prepare for it.
We are aware that this will not take place for quite some time. Anyone who would like to pay their respects during the funeral service is welcome to do so at any moment during the course of the day. In the later part of the day, we are going to pay respect to Dad at the neighborhood pub. It will be a fitting way to pay respect to a great individual who made an impact on the lives of a huge number of people.
Because I am aware that not all of my father’s connections are a part of my social media circles, I would be thankful if you could share this information with others. Please let me know if you are able to do so.
