George McGhee Obituary, Death – George McGhee of Alexander, has passed away in Bryant, Arkansas. It was on June 18 in Maryville, Tennessee, that he was brought into the world by his parents, Charles McGhee and Jennie McGhee. George served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his service in the military, he went on to work as a postman, barber, salesperson, and owner of a small business. He went all across the central Arkansas region in order to sell and service power equipment in addition to being the proprietor of C & W Tool and Equipment Supply, Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He upheld his reputation for honesty and hard work throughout his entire life. This reputation served him well. Cornbread soaked in milk, Oreo cookies, and country music were among his all-time favorites, and he was a dogged and resolute individual. Spending time with his children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Grumpy,” was something he looked forward to every day. In addition to such activities, he loved going fishing, taking road trips in his fifth wheel, and playing cards.
George is survived by his former wife, Virginia Hunt McGhee of North Little Rock, who is also a close friend; his son Anthony George McGhee and his wife, Laura, also of North Little Rock; his daughter Andrea McGhee McManus and her husband Shane of Mohawk, New York; his son Michael Andrew McGhee and his wife Marsha of Little Rock; his son Jason Eric McGhee and his wife Janet of Little Rock; his twin brother Charles Winston McGhee and his wife Yumie of Atlanta.
In addition to his great-grandchildren Abraham, Samuel, and Simone Harrison, he is survived by his step-grandchildren Jackson and Ava McDonald, his niece Diana McGhee, his nephews Charles Wendell McGhee, Ronald Ray McGhee, Michael Hugh McGhee, and Mark Mason McGhee, and his step-grandchildren Jackson and Ava McDonald. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren Jackson and Ava McDonald.
