Madeline Johnson was born July 27, 2020, to loving parents Kenton and Jessica (MacLeod) Johnson of Granite Falls, MN. She was baptized on August 16, 2020, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.

In her 2.5 years on Earth, Madeline touched and brightened more people’s lives than most people do in their entire lives. She was a little ray of sunshine with her big, beautiful, infectious smile, instantly brightening any room or anyone’s day! Maddie was an exceptional toddler, always caring, loving, and wise for her age. She was the happiest child, and she could be found singing, dancing, or marching around to her favorite songs all the time. Madeline went to Puddle Jumpers Learning Center and loved her classmates and teachers. She will be remembered as the sweetest and most thoughtful friend. Her dazzling personality, silly sayings, back pats, and “big tight squeeze” hugs brought so much joy to the classroom and life.

Madeline was constantly on the go! She had the opportunity to visit family and friends in Florida, South Dakota, and the East Coast. She especially loved summers in “Maddie’s Camper” on the lake, where she earned the nickname of the Pontoon Princess. Maddie, in typical Maddie fashion, waved to every passing boat. Everyone who met our beautiful girl adored her.
Maddie’s parents, Kenton and Jessica; brother Carter; grandparents Charles and Cynthia MacLeod of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, and Dean and Jennifer Johnson of Watertown, South Dakota; aunts and uncles Cameron MacLeod, Matthew MacLeod, Melissa MacLeod, and Kirsten Tjosaas; cousins Kaiden and Mason Tjosaas; great grandparents Willis and Arlyss Johnson and Susan Wagstaff; and many extended family and friends survive. Austin Wagstaff, Jennings and Florence Anderson, and Eleanor Johnson were her great-grandparents.
