Raymond Woolf Obituary, Death – Raymond Woolf, a legend of the Great Baddow Football Club has passed away unexpectedly. Ray has been an indispensable member of the Great Baddow Football Club for a significant amount of time now. Over the course of all of those years, he has been an essential contribution to the club’s successes, and the fact that he pays such careful attention to every little thing is a major reason for our current level of achievement. The fact that Ray is able to field five teams each and every week is evidence of his dedication and passion for both the Club and the community as a whole.
But what is more important is the fact that we have lost a true gentleman, a terrific friend, and an exceptional person to look up to as an example. Ray’s friendliness and generosity were so deeply engrained in him that it seemed as though they just came pouring out of him naturally, like water from the back of a duck. He possessed the extraordinary ability to quickly brighten any setting. Not only was Ray the pillar of the Great Baddow community, but he was also the backbone of the football team. He was a man of the people and exemplified all that is wonderful about the community; he brought people together, created a place where friendships that will last a lifetime, and made a family out of families who were already there.
He passed away. In a nutshell, Ray was the embodiment of all that was admirable about the neighborhood. Despite the fact that Ray is no longer with us, the lives he touched and the friendships he fostered will ensure that his legacy will continue on. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Ray’s family. This weekend, your Baddow family will raise a glass to a Baddow great who has passed away. Ray, I pray that the Lord blesses you and guards you always.
