Sheila Hoppe Obituary, Luxemburg WI, Member of Billy’s on Main restaurant dies at 56

Sheila Hoppe Obituary, Death – Sheila M. Hoppe, 56, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2022. Gerald and Joan (Krines) Ledvina gave birth to her on April 9, 1966, in Pilsen, Wisconsin. Sheila grew up on the family dairy farm, which she was quite proud of. On November 13, 1988, she married Alan M. Hoppe at St. Joseph Church in Pilsen. She enrolled at NWTC after graduating from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1984.

Sheila was a frequent at Billy’s on Main, where she and her husband both worked. “If they don’t leave happy, I’m not doing my job,” she used to say. She admired the numerous clients and the hardworking personnel. While serving as President of the Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce, she garnered great experience. Her cooperation benefited Luxemburg Printing, her husband’s side business. She liked simple pleasures such as lawn and garden maintenance, trips to the cottage, and creating her famous Metanky. Her children and grandkids were a constant source of joy for her.

Survivors include her husband of thirty four years, Al and their children, Aaron (Carley) Hoppe, Suamico; Anna (Jared) Mathis, Denmark; Alex Hoppe, Luxemburg; four grandchildren, Adeline, Jay, Emmersyn and Wynn; her parents, Gerald and Joan Ledvina; two brothers, Gregg (Sally) Ledvina, Kevin (Jamie) Ledvina; two sisters, Sherry (Ron) Willems, Sara Lade; two sisters in law, Judy Paris, Jan (Dale “Puppy” Reckelberg) Smithwick; nieces and nephews further survive. Sheila was predeceased by her childhood sister, Susie Ledvina; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and Elroy Hoppe; one brother-in-law, Jim Brockway; her grandparents; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Sheila’s concern for others persisted after her death because she was an organ donor.  Friends are invited to pay their respects today (December 18, 2022) from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg. On Sunday, the church prayer service concludes at 8:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Rev. Carl Brewer will perform the ceremony on Monday at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in Luxemburg’s St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and other demonstrations of sadness, a memorial fund in Sheila’s honor will be established.
