Brett Wyatt Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you of the demise of Brett Wyatt, who was a former student of ours. It is with great sadness that we must share this news with you. We are sad to have to pass on this information to you because he was such a beautiful person, and it is weighing heavy on our hearts to have to do so now. Because of Brett’s talents as a musician and an athlete, he was chosen to be a member of the Texas All State and GDYO teams for a period of four years in a row. This honor allowed him to participate in prestigious competitions across the state. These accolades are a direct result of the accomplishments that Brett has accomplished. Between the years 2007 and 2011, Brett was an engaged member of both the Philharmonic and the GDYO. During this time, he gave performances with both of these organizations. Our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family, and in particular with his brother Clint Wyatt, who was a member of GDYO in the past.
We are sorry to hear about his passing. We are shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. During this trying time, we want each and every one of them to know that our hearts are with them. The family begs that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Samaritan’s Purse in honor of Brett. I’d want to take this time to thank @withrepost and @mylesblakemore for the contributions that they made to the reblog. You can find them on Twitter. I have been in a state of complete and utter mourning ever since I found out that my college roommate, studio mate, and friend Brett Wyatt had passed suddenly. He was an artist. Since then, I have been completely unable to carry out even the most basic of tasks. Both of our journeys began with us participating in youth orchestras and finished with us enrolling in college. In between, we were involved in various other musical activities. Our experiences were almost exactly the same at each and every one of the steps along the road.
Because of the extraordinary talent that he possessed, which was a direct result of the fact that he has that gift, I was driven to continually work toward improving myself each and every day. This was a direct consequence of the fact that he possesses that gift. If we hadn’t happened to run into him by accident, I never would have had the chance to meet the people who have contributed to my development as a person and made me into the person I am today. I regret not telling him earlier.
